Olympique Marseille rejects Real Sociedad’s first offer to sign Aguerd
Real Sociedad submitted their first official offer to sign Moroccan international Nayef Aguerd during the current summer transfer window, but Olympique Marseille rejected the proposal, though negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing.
According to the website “footmerccato,” the Basque club offered to loan Aguerd for €2.5 million, with additional variables, and included an obligation to purchase the player for €10 million at the end of the loan period.
Olympique Marseille officials rejected this offer, deeming its financial value insufficient to meet the club’s expectations, and negotiations have now stalled without an agreement.
Meanwhile, Nayef Aguerd has reached an agreement with Real Sociedad on all terms of a five-year contract, pending the two clubs finalizing the deal.
Negotiations between Olympique Marseille and Real Sociedad are continuing, as the Spanish club is keen to bolster its defense with the Moroccan international before the summer transfer window closes.
