RB Leipzig have made Samir El Mourabet a priority in the current transfer window and have begun negotiations with Strasbourg.
Young Moroccan international Samir El Mourabet has attracted the interest of German club RB Leipzig, who are looking to sign him during the current summer transfer window, just days before the start of the new Ligue 1 season.
According to Footmercato, Leipzig have placed Morabit, along with his Strasbourg teammate Diego Moreira, at the top of their transfer priorities. The German club’s management were impressed by his technical and attacking abilities and the qualities he possesses.
The same source confirmed that preliminary negotiations have already begun between Leipzig and Strasbourg to explore the possibility of completing the deal. Morabit is reportedly open to the idea of joining the German club and embarking on a new experience in the Bundesliga.
The Moroccan international is under contract with Strasbourg until June 2030, which gives the French club a strong negotiating position, especially as he has become one of the most promising young talents in the team.
Leipzig hopes to push negotiations forward in the coming period, but Strasbourg will be required to make a decision regarding the possibility of letting go of one of its most prominent young players during the current transfer window.
