Real Madrid Officially Announces the Signing of Yan Diomande

Real Madrid announced on Thursday that they have reached an official agreement with RB Leipzig to sign Ivorian midfielder Yann Diomande, bolstering their squad for the upcoming season.
In an official statement, the club explained that Diomande has signed a seven-year contract, running until June 30, 2033, as part of their plan to strengthen the team with young talent capable of leading the sporting project in the coming years.
Diomande is considered one of the most promising young talents in European football, having impressed with Leipzig, which prompted Real Madrid to move to secure the deal amidst competition from several other European clubs.
Press reports indicated that the transfer fee is €125 million, plus €15 million in bonuses and add-ons, bringing the total value to €140 million, making it one of the biggest transfers in Real Madrid’s history.
The player is expected to join the team’s training sessions immediately under the leadership of Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, in preparation for the start of the 2026-2027 season, amid hopes that he will be a strong addition to the new project at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
