When will Cucurella make his debut for Real Madrid?
Monday saw Marc Cucurella’s first appearance at Valdebebas, where the Spanish full-back underwent a medical examination after returning from his summer vacation following his participation with the Spanish national team in the 2026 World Cup.
Cucurella wasn’t the only one to report to the club that day. AS confirmed that Ibrahima Konaté and Kylian Mbappé also joined him for medical tests, paving the way for the trio to join training.
The three players are not expected to be included in Real Madrid’s squad for Wednesday’s match against Deportivo La Coruña. The newspaper confirmed that they will not travel with the team and will instead undergo a special training program to regain their fitness before participating in matches.
Therefore, Cucurella’s debut is likely to be postponed until the match against Schalke, Real Madrid’s final preseason friendly, scheduled for Sunday, August 16th.
Cucurella joined Real Madrid from Chelsea in a deal worth €55 million, according to Transfermarkt, and is under contract until 2032.
