Barcelona agree to loan defender Ronald Araujo to Liverpool
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has announced a surprise in the current transfer market regarding the potential transfer of Barcelona player Ronald Araujo to Liverpool during the current summer transfer window.
The journalist stated that Barcelona has reached an agreement with Liverpool to loan their Uruguayan defender, Ronald Araujo, to the Reds for one season.
The verbal agreement between the two clubs has now been approved by Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, making Araujo the latest surprise of the current transfer window.
The journalist confirmed that the option to buy in Araujo’s contract with the Reds will be entirely with Liverpool (it will not be mandatory). The deal is expected to be finalized and officially announced within the next 24 hours. The player will bid farewell to his teammates tomorrow, Saturday, at the training ground before traveling directly to Liverpool.
