Real Madrid conclude their preparations with a victory over Schalke

Real Madrid concluded their preseason preparations with a resounding 3-0 victory over German side Schalke 04 in a friendly match played Sunday evening at the Veltins-Arena.

The Spanish giants started strongly, with Kylian Mbappé opening the scoring in the sixth minute, capitalizing on a defensive error by the home side. Defender Dean Howen doubled the lead in the 20th minute with a header from a perfectly executed free-kick by Arda Güler.

In the second half, Real Madrid maintained their dominance despite substitutions made by manager José Mourinho. Carlos Espírito Santo added a third goal in the 57th minute, sealing a comfortable 3-0 win for Los Blancos.

The match marked Mbappé’s return to action, and also saw the debuts of several new signings, including Marc Cucurella and Yann Diomande. Jude Bellingham made his first appearance under Mourinho’s management.

This victory gives Real Madrid an important morale boost before the start of the official season, as they await their first test in the Spanish League against Espanyol on August 22.
