Journalist Miguel Serrano revealed that Real Madrid’s management has decided to completely exclude Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi from their transfer plans for the current summer window, confirming that there is no intention to make an official move for the player.

The decisions within the Santiago Bernabéu were based on a thorough technical evaluation. The sporting management believes that Real Madrid’s stature and prestige demand exceptional qualities. While acknowledging Zubimendi as a good option in midfield, the prevailing opinion is that he lacks the decisive quality needed to make a difference in big matches.

The reservations weren’t limited to technical aspects; the deal also encountered a major financial obstacle. Real Madrid officials refuse to enter a bidding war or pay the asking price of at least €80 million to release him.

The club’s management considers this figure excessively high and inconsistent with the player’s estimated value, thus definitively ending the matter and abandoning negotiations.
