Spanish newspaper AS reveals a major surprise regarding ayyoub bouaddi
The Spanish newspaper AS dropped a bombshell on Monday regarding the future of Moroccan international ayyoub bouaddi , revealing that Manchester City is close to finalizing a deal to sign the Lille midfielder for €130 million.
The newspaper explained that the English club is rushing to strengthen its midfield, given the potential departure of Spaniard Rodri, and has identified Bouadi as one of its top choices to replace him. According to AS, Manchester City is “on the verge” of closing the deal for the 18-year-old bouaddi, who impressed with the Moroccan national team during the 2026 World Cup.
If completed for the reported fee, Bouadi’s transfer would be one of the biggest deals in the history of the French league and the highest for a Moroccan player, placing the Moroccan player among the most expensive transfers in football history.
AS believes that Manchester City’s efforts to replace Rodri could reach an investment of nearly €270 million, following the signing of Elliott Anderson from Nottingham Forest for €135 million. He is close to finalizing the deal for Bouadi for €130 million.
