German coach Jäissle leaves Al-Ahli Saudi and signs with Newcastle United
Al-Ahli Saudi, the reigning AFC Champions League title holders for the past two seasons, announced on Wednesday the termination of their contract with German coach Matthias Jesle following his resignation.
Al-Ahli stated in a statement on their X platform account, “Jesle submitted his resignation, thus terminating his contractual relationship, and he will pay the penalty clause within the period stipulated in the contract.”
This comes as Newcastle United announced in a statement that they have appointed Jesle as their new manager for the upcoming season, following the departure of Eddie Howe.
