Mourinho: “Working for Real Madrid is an honor and a responsibility.”
Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho confirmed that he has already begun preparing for the new season 2026-2027, after arriving at Real Madrid Sports City in Valdebebas, where he continues to coordinate with the club management before the start of the official preparation period.
Mourinho said, in statements to Realmadrid TV: “Words are not enough, because it is like a mission. It is not about worrying about myself or the number of victories I will achieve, but rather I am here to help everyone develop, whether players or members of the technical staff, and work to establish a culture based on seriousness, responsibility and ambition.”
He added: “Working for Real Madrid is a great responsibility and honor. I like this concept very much. It is not about working for Real Madrid, but about working for Real Madrid, and this is the motivation I came with.”
The Portuguese coach spoke about the preparations for the new season, saying: “We have been working for a long time with the club’s structure at various levels, and technology helped us accomplish many things even before I came here, and now it is time to follow up on what has been accomplished and complete what remains.”
Regarding the preparation period, Mourinho explained: “I am looking forward to making the best use of the next two weeks. I was hoping for all the players to be there from the beginning, but I see the positive side in that, as it will be an opportunity to get to know the young players and give them a chance to show their potential, and I will also be keen to contribute to their development.”
Mourinho concluded his statements with a message full of confidence, saying: “I feel very confident and have a deep love for this club, and with the returning players joining later, we will continue to work with all seriousness. Hala Madrid and nothing else.”
