Crystal Palace officially announce the signing of Moroccan Jamal Alioui to the team’s technical staff

English club Crystal Palace officially announced the appointment of former Moroccan international Djamel Alioui as part of the team’s technical staff, where he will serve as assistant coach alongside French coach Pierre Sage.

The club confirmed, in an official statement, that Pierre Sage has decided to form its technical staff, welcoming the addition of Jamal Aliwi, Damien Della Santa, and Sandy Guichard in coaching positions, along with Buddy McCarthy as assistant coach, and Andy Coy as goalkeeper coach.

Alioui continues his coaching journey alongside Pierre Sage, having previously worked with him at Olympique Lyonnais before moving to Lens, where they won the Coupe de France and finished second in Ligue 1.

Alioui represented Morocco as a right-back and captained the team at the 2004 Athens Olympics. He also had professional stints in Italy, France, Switzerland, Turkey, Morocco, and Qatar.

As a coach, the former Moroccan international has accumulated considerable experience, most notably as an assistant coach for the Moroccan under-20 national team, in addition to working with several French clubs, before embarking on a new adventure in the English Premier League with Crystal Palace.
